I stand alone in the forest one evening
Gazing up into the sky watching the clouds go by
It doesn't occur to me the time is flying by
The day, fading away it is seeming
Wondering if I should stay or be leaving
Looking ahead of me I sigh
Now facing down, head in hands, beginning to cry
Wondering if there is a God and should be believing
As the darkness beckons, draws more near
The wind whistles though all the trees
Standing here peacefully without any fear
As I watch them swaying, rotating with ease
Swallowed in fog not a sign of clear
With my life passing by as it may please
