I drove to the theater to see a movie one evening
It was night and all the lights were gleaming
As I parked, everything was safe and sound
But the one I asked out, couldn't be found

I waited inside for a minute or two
Then I saw a car drive up...I wonder who
She stepped out of the car, sweet as can be
Just seeing her made my heart pound and filled me with glee

With her gentle, caring voice she said, "Hello"
I was so high on love, I felt like jello
I bought our tickets after standing in line
Thinking to myself she is the one, the night will go fine

Awhile into the movie she put her hand on mine
I was so nervous; a tingle went down my spine
She laid her soft head on my shoulder
With my head on hers, hoping the movie would never be over

The movie has sadly come to an end and I took her home
It was so cold out it chilled us to the bone
I walked her to her door and glowing was the porch light
She was so beautiful I didn't ever want to leave her sight

I knew as soon as I left it was she that I would miss
But before I did, she leaned over and gave me a kiss
While driving home I let out a grin and a sigh
Knowing that she cares for me, I began to cry
